Hartford, the capital of Connecticut, was founded in 1633 and is located midway between New York and Boston. The Greater Hartford region includes approximately 832,000 people in 33 municipalities. It is the region's center for cultural, economic and social activities and has two major hospitals plus a children's hospital in the downtown area. Bushnell Park is a short walk from our office and is the venue for many musical concerts, a marathon, runners, walkers and lunchtime picnics. Hartford is less than 20 minutes from Bradley International Airport and is easily accessible through the downtown train and bus stations. Hartford is the home of a resident theater company, ballet, symphony orchestra and many other arts and performance groups, as well as the Wadsworth Atheneum, the nation's first art museum. The surrounding communities, only a short drive from downtown, offer immediate access to more rural living areas. The city itself has a wide variety of apartments, condominiums and houses for those who prefer city life.
