Ms. Rogers grew up in Massachusetts, but moved to the Baltimore/Washington area to attend the American University, where in1994, she earned a Bachelors degree in Law and Society. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Rogers worked for two years as a legal assistant in Washington D.C. and graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1999. Ms. Rogers is licensed to practice law in Maryland as well as in the District of Columbia. Her primary area of practice is family law, although Ms. Rogers also utilizes her experience and training for civil and family mediation. As a wife and the mother of a toddler, Ms. Rogers understands the joys and challenges of family life. She also understands that most of her clients, in dealing with issues of separation, divorce, and custody, are struggling through one of the hardest situations they could ever experience. Her philosophy as a lawyer includes listening to her clients’ concerns and goals and informing, advising, and counseling them to make informed decisions regarding their legal matters. Ms. Rogers’ experience in working with children and families dates back 14 years, when she began working with abused and neglected children through various volunteer programs. She uses all of her past experiences in guiding her clients through the litigation or mediation process.
