Lindquist & Vennum is a business-oriented, general-practice law firm of nearly 200 lawyers. Our offices are in Minneapolis, Minnesota and Denver, Colorado. The firm was created in 1968 from a merger between two Minneapolis firms that were formed in the 1940s. Our clients range from Fortune 500 companies and multi-national corporations to startup ventures. We are consistently among the top three upper Midwest law firms retained as general outside counsel to publicly held companies. We are frequently retained as counsel for issuers or underwriters in the issuance of public equity securities and regularly assist our clients in mergers, acquisitions and venture capital financings. Due to the nature of our practice, we are often seen by our clients as business advisors as well as legal counsel. Approximately a third of our attorneys concentrate their practice in litigation covering all aspects of commercial trial and appellate advocacy, including antitrust, intellectual property, securities, employment, product liability, franchise, shareholder, environmental, contract, class action, construction, tax and insurance coverage disputes. Although our business practices are concentrated in the upper Midwest and the Rocky Mountain region, several of our specialties—notably agribusiness, banking, bankruptcy, health law and litigation—have extensive national practices. Through our association with the Appleton Group Legal Network (TAGLaw), an international network of prominent law firms, we can provide our clients with access to more than 100 firms in nearly 70 countries. Lindquist & Vennum is proud of its considerable contribution to public service. Numerous federal and state public officials, including trial court and appellate court judges, legislators and elected as well as appointed executive officials began their careers with our firm. Our pro bono program is among the stronger such efforts in the country, and we are believed to be the only firm in the U.S. that regularly has unanimous attorney participation in this endeavor. |
