For over 19 years the primary focus of my practice has been representing liquor permit holders such as restaurants, bars, nightclubs, golf courses, developers, and carryouts with respect to every aspect of owning a liquor permit establishment. I negotiate contracts on behalf of both buyers and sellers of business establishments, prepare all documents related to the liquor license transfer, appear before the Division of Liquor Control for hearings related to the denial of a transfer or objection to the renewal or issuance of a liquor license, appear before the Ohio Liquor Commission on a regular basis to defend liquor permit holders who have been cited for any type of violation such as sale of alcohol to a minor, gambling-related charges, hidden ownership charges, drug-related offenses and any charges of improper conduct cited under regulation 4301:1- 52 of the Ohio Administrative Code, just to name a few. I also appear before the Ohio Dept. of Taxation to resolve sales tax and withholding tax delinquencies for liquor permit holders, appear before the Franklin County Municipal Court and Franklin County Common Pleas Court to defend employees and owners who have been charged criminally with any violation of the Ohio Revised Code, appear before the Tenth District Court of Appeals on behalf of liquor permit holders who are in jeopardy of losing their liquor permit as a result of an order issued by the Ohio Liquor Commission revoking or suspending their liquor license.
